Stabilization

Donald Trump's Department of Defense caused the deaths of sixty nine people when they crashed a helicopter into a passenger plane a few days into his second term. There is a new scandal every week, from planning the illegal bombing of Yemen on Signal, to invading Venezuela to prevent the publishing of the Epstein files. Our government is going to need reforms to right the ship, or else we risk an end to the American experiment soon.

We need to bring the country back to a state of normalcy where we can prevent government shutdowns, climate proof our economy, regulate AI, and modernize government.

Forward,there is stability.

    • Including a ban on all stock ownership or trading by Congress, The Supreme Court, and Future presidents.

    • Ban on polymarket or similar competitors for members of Congress, the president, the Supreme Court and their staff.

    • Increase Congressional pay, and restrict types of external income for sitting members of Congress, Judges, The President, Vice President and their staff.

    • Ban use of AI in political ads

    • Limit amount superpacs can spend per cycle

    • First rights to water and energy are reserved to people, not corporations. Data centers should have to pay a community rent, in the form of subsidizing the cost of water and energy in the neighborhoods they are built in.

    • Products that utilize Artificial Intelligence must declare the portions and processes utilized at the beginning of any advertisement, art piece, and social media post. To ensure that everyone knows what is AI and what is real.

    • Clean water bill; every neighborhood in the United States has the right to clean water. Where this is not the case we must treat this as the emergency it is. This bill would update the clean water act and issue strict enforcements and timelines for cleaning up water sources by localities and corporations. Clarify definition of waterways. Add teeth to protections over federal waterways. Ban common pollutants and regulate proper disposal of chemicals, waste, and fertilizer.

    • Clean air bill; asthma, bronchitis, heart disease, and lung cancer are all on the rise in areas with dirty air. This bill would update the Clean Air act modernizing it and banning known airborne toxins and pollutants.

    • Increase research into renewable energy.

    • Increase funding of weatherizing homes

    • Require states to increase the share of renewable energy they use and modernize the energy grid.

    • Increase funding into soil and seed programs - giving local communities access to healthy soil and good seeds to grow their own food.

    • Support for the Green New deal for housing plan proposed in Congress.

    • Support for the Green New deal for schools plan proposed in Congress.

    • Increase funding towards coral reef restoration and ocean clean up.

    • Increase funding to support public transportation; faster & cleaner buses, trains, and planes

    • Add fines for private planes taking short flights.

    • Fix national flood insurance program, requiring each state to invest in climate change prevention to qualify for the program.

    • Require an annual climate report released during January.

    • Require homes to report climate damage and risk such as flooding.

    • Agriculture reform; we don’t have to ban cows, but we do need to improve their conditions and diversify our diets for both our and the planet's health.

    •  Restoring our fishing stock, limiting destructive practices and overfishing. We should take drastic action now before we are forced to go years between catching crabs, salmon and scallops.

    • Create a plan with timelines to reduce and eventually ban the use of fossil fuels, methane and fracking.

    • Increase funding for electrification. Cars, school buses, postal vehicles, all can be electrified quickly. We need to support research into fast charging and long lasting batteries, as well as building out charging stations.

    • Guaranteed wages for government workers during shutdowns, emergencies, and strikes.

    • Automatic budgets kick in after two weeks, ending shutdowns.

    • Speed up appointments and vacancies for the Executive and Judicial Branch.

    • Update process for virtual voting for members of congress.

    • Split ICE’s budget to increase the budget of the  U.S. Marshals, FBI, and DEA for arrests and transfer of undocumented immigrants who have committed a crime.

    • Limit Border Patrol’s jurisdiction to twenty five miles from the border.

    • Allow local governments and individuals to prosecute ICE agents who commit a crime.

    • Modernize immigration process, focusing on people who have valid asylum claims and temporary protected status, offering them citizenship.

    • Add a special tax on bullets,  money earned is used to subsidize the cost of mental health and victim services.

    • Cost of newly bought Gun safes, trigger locks, and lock boxes should be fully tax deductible to promote safe storage practices.

    • National firearm registry for all official sales.

    • Ban on police departments selling their old firearms.

    • Institute a Dealers and Collectors license for those who own more than three firearms. Require a safe storage class, a fee and an annual reporting of lost, sold, stolen, gifted firearms.

    • Assault Weapons regulation (special license and ban in cities.)

    • Allow citizens and states to sue neighboring states with weaker gun laws for guns bought in those states to use in crimes elsewhere. I.e. Maryland suing Virginia, Illinois suing Indiana

    • Restore funding for community-based violence intervention programs.

    • Regulate Ghost Guns with national standards

    • Require firearms to have microstamping technology to better assist law enforcement with identifying the weapon used in a crime.

    • Ban betting platforms from betting on mass shootings such as what occurred during the Brown University shooting.

    • Require gun owners to report missing or stolen firearms within 24 hours of noticing, or pay a fine.

    • Allow gun manufacturers to be sued.

    • Limit advertising near schools and in cities.

    • Nuclear weapons have no useful purpose, they are only designed to usher in global annihilation. We should reenter global nuclear weapons agreements and increase research into safe ways to dispose or repurpose our stockpile.

    • We have grown too complacent in updating the workplace in Congress, it has been nearly a century since the last time we expanded the house. Our population has drastically increased while our representation has decreased. Increasing the House by 100 seats is the least we can do. This would make Gerrymandering an ineffective way of stealing elections, and would give representatives of largely populated states a better workload. Congress has the authority to make this change without changing the constitution.

    • End Citizens United, ban unlimited donation limits from corporations.

    • Limit spending from PACS and Super PACS to a set amount per year.

    • Automatic voter registration

    • National voting holiday

    • Ranked choice voting

    • Lower voting age to 16

    • Voting in Jails should be commonplace and legal nationwide. This prevents locking up opposition figures on election day to prevent them from voting. It also allows the guards to easily vote.

  • Increase Congressional pay, and restrict types of external income for sitting members of Congress, Judges, The President, Vice President and their staff.

    • Abolish the death penalty.

    • End cash bail. Either a person is too dangerous to leave jail or they are not, how much money a person has should not dictate their freedom.

    •  Limit the cases public defenders can have per month.

    • Increase funding to public Defenders.

    • Mandate Body cameras be worn by police officers.

    • End qualified immunity.

    • Subsidize pay of officers and set minimum pay rates.

    • Restrict jobs officers can do while sworn officers are not on unpaid leave.

    • Restrict hiring of officers fired in other districts for excessive force.

    • Juvenile Justice reform, including more protections in detention centers. Reform youth diversion programs and reduce punishment for youth committing status crimes (Truancy, drug/alcohol possession, curfews ).

    • Restore basic protections for pregnant women seeking an abortion, or advice on reproductive health care

    • Legalize mailing of abortion medication, contraceptives, hormone therapy and emergency contraceptives

    • In some states it is strangely still legal to marry children. With so many prominent people associated with Jeffery Epstein, we should focus on giving children more protections and rights. A no brainer is banning marriages for everyone under 18 years old.

    • Ethics reform.

    • Reduce types of income, gifts and assets Federal Judges can receive.

    • Ban Judges from being landlords.

    •  Ban Federal Judges from owning stock.
